This policy explains what LifeRise Solutions collects, why, and who we share it with. It covers our website and our iOS and Android apps. We have written it to describe what our systems actually do — where something is not yet built, we say so plainly rather than promising it.
LifeRise is a marketplace connecting residents of managed properties with home service providers. Four groups use it, and what we collect differs meaningfully between them:
Account information — everyone
Your first and last name, email address, phone number, password (stored only as a cryptographic hash, never in readable form), time zone, optional profile photo, and the time of your most recent sign-in.
Residents
Your unit number and building, ZIP code, and the service address for each booking. When you post a service request you may also provide a location and search radius. Booking details, notes you write, messages you send, reviews, and support tickets are stored with your account.
Service providers
A description of your business, your ZIP code, and — if your business has one — your Employer Identification Number (EIN). The EIN field is optional and accepts only the nine-digit EIN format, so a Social Security number cannot be entered into it. We do not collect your Social Security number, date of birth, home street address, or government-issued ID at signup. While you are marked online, we collect your device location so that jobs near you can be routed to you.
Everyone, automatically
Your IP address, browser or device type, and records of requests to our servers. On mobile, a push notification token if you enable notifications. We do not use advertising identifiers.
To help keep residents safe, we screen service providers before approving them. We use AssureHire, a consumer reporting agency, to conduct that screening. The resulting report is a “consumer report” under the federal Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA).
Before any check is run, you will receive a separate written FCRA disclosure and will be asked for your written authorization. Federal law requires that disclosure to be its own standalone document, so it is deliberately not part of this Privacy Policy.
To start a check, we provide AssureHire with your name, email address, and phone number. AssureHire then collects the information it needs — including your Social Security number, date of birth, and address history — directly from you through its own secure portal. That information is never entered into or stored by LifeRise. AssureHire’s handling of it is governed by AssureHire’s own privacy policy.
AssureHire reports results to us so we can make an approval decision. We review those results, but we do not store background check reports, criminal history records, or the identifiers used to run the check in our application or databases. You may obtain a copy of your report and dispute anything inaccurate in it directly with AssureHire. If we decline to approve you based on the report, you will receive the notices the FCRA requires, including a copy of the report, before that decision becomes final.
For a small number of categories involving care of children or seniors, we may also invite you to voluntarily upload a certification or consent document. Uploading these is optional. They are stored in a private file store accessible only to you and authorized reviewers.
Payments are processed by Stripe. Card details are entered into payment fields hosted by Stripe — LifeRise never receives, processes, or stores your full card number, expiration date, or security code, and no database of ours holds one.
Providers set up payouts through an onboarding flow hosted by Stripe. Any identity information Stripe requires — including a Social Security number or Tax ID and bank account details — is submitted directly to Stripe and is never collected or stored by LifeRise.
What we do keep: a Stripe identifier for your account, whether payouts are enabled, booking amounts, discounts applied, our platform fee, and payout status. Stripe also processes device and payment signals independently for its own fraud prevention, under Stripe’s privacy policy rather than ours.
Residents. We use the service address you provide and, if you grant permission, your device location to help you pick an address and find nearby services.
Providers. While you are marked online, the app periodically sends your device location so jobs near you can be routed to you and so your property manager can coordinate active work. Location is not collected while you are offline.
Residents are never shown a provider’s exact coordinates. Residents see only whether a provider is online and when that status last updated. Precise provider locations are visible only to property managers and authorized staff for operational coordination.
You can revoke location permission at any time in your device settings.
We send transactional messages you need — booking confirmations, password resets, payment receipts — and, if you opt in, announcements and promotional messages.
Text messages. We send SMS only to a verified phone number and only where you have given consent. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any message to opt out, or HELP for help. You may also opt out by emailing us. Consenting to marketing messages is never a condition of using LifeRise.
Text-messaging originator opt-in data and consent are never shared with, sold to, or transferred to any third party or affiliate for their marketing purposes. For text-message delivery specifically, your phone number and message content are processed only by our SMS delivery provider (Twilio, listed in the sharing table below), which acts solely on our behalf to deliver the messages you consented to and is bound by contract to no other use.
Email. Every promotional email includes an unsubscribe link. Transactional email about your bookings and account will continue regardless, because it is necessary to provide the service.
Push notifications. Turn these off in your device settings or in the app at any time.
LifeRise includes an AI assistant. When you use it, your messages — along with the account context needed to answer them, such as your name, contact details, bookings, and their status — are sent to Anthropic, PBC, which generates the response. Conversations are stored with your account so you can see your history.
Please do not enter sensitive information into the assistant that is not needed to answer your question.
Traffic between your device and our servers is encrypted in transit using TLS. Passwords are stored only as cryptographic hashes. Access to production systems is restricted to authorized personnel, and provider documents and support attachments are held in private storage reachable only through short-lived links.
Two honest limits worth stating. First, profile photos and service photos you upload are stored in a public file store — anyone with the direct link can view them, so please do not upload anything you would not want seen. Second, no system is perfectly secure, and we do not claim ours is; we cannot guarantee that information will never be accessed without authorization.
We keep your account information for as long as your account is active. Booking, payment, and tax records are kept as long as needed for accounting, dispute resolution, and legal obligations, which for tax records is generally several years. Server logs used for debugging and security are kept for approximately fourteen days.
We are candid that we do not currently operate an automated deletion schedule for every category of content — messages, support tickets, and assistant conversations persist while your account exists. You can ask us to delete specific content at any time using the contact details below.
You can view and update most account information directly in your profile. Regardless of where you live, you may contact us to:
To request account deletion, email us at privacy@life-rise.app from the address on your account. We will confirm your identity, delete your account and associated personal information, and confirm when it is done. Some records must be retained where the law requires it — completed transaction and tax records in particular — and we will tell you if that applies.
We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these choices. We never require you to consent to marketing to use the service.
We do not respond to Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signals — not as a refusal, but because there is nothing for such a signal to act on. We do not sell personal information, share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, or run advertising or analytics trackers.
LifeRise is intended for adults. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
If you book a service that involves your household — childcare, for example — please share only what the provider genuinely needs to do the job.
LifeRise operates from Arizona. Arizona does not have a comprehensive consumer privacy statute, so the choices described above are offered by us to everyone rather than being required by Arizona law.
Arizona does require breach notification. If we determine that a security breach has exposed unencrypted personal information about you — which under A.R.S. § 18-551 includes an email address together with a password, and a taxpayer identification number — we will notify you within forty-five days of that determination, as A.R.S. § 18-552 requires. That notice will include the approximate date of the breach, a description of the information involved, and contact details for the three nationwide credit reporting agencies and the Federal Trade Commission. Where a breach affects more than 1,000 people, we will also notify the Arizona Attorney General, the Arizona Department of Homeland Security, and the nationwide credit reporting agencies.
Some states give residents specific privacy rights. Rather than track which apply to you, we extend the choices in Your choices to everyone who uses LifeRise, wherever you live. If a right available to you is not listed there, contact us and we will honor it where the law requires.
We do not sell personal information or use it for targeted advertising, so opt-outs specific to those activities do not apply.
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top. If a change materially affects how we use information you already gave us, we will notify you directly and, where the change requires it, ask for your consent rather than treating continued use as agreement.
